What if you have multiple images to use for your avatar? They're all great, and you want to use them all! But you can only use one at a time.

So, let's rotate them based on time!

Chavatar is automatically avatar rotation app.

Your account's icon will be changed at regular intervals.

Both the image and settings are managed within your PDS account repository (treated the same way as your Bluesky submission data). They are not stored on this service itself.

The origin of the name "Chavatar"

In Linux, there are several commands that begin with "ch", such as chown, chmod, chgrp, chsh, etc. These are derived from "change xxx." For example, chmod comes from "change mode", and chgrp comes from "change group". Following this convention, we named it chavatar as "change avatar".

The name "chavatar" sounds similar to the Japanese word "茶畑" (tea field), evoking the image of tea leaves and a tea field.

How to use

  1. 1.

Upload the image you want to use as your icon from the top of the screen.

Attention

Changing your avatar is considered a "profile item change" on Bluesky. Some labelers (such as Account Activity Labeler) apply a temporary label to accounts whose profiles are frequently updated in a short period of time. (This is because spam accounts may be frequently updating their profiles to deceive people.)

*This is not meant to be a criticism of labelers. On the contrary, I endorse them.

Please note that while labeler interpretations may vary from user to user, in some cases your account or posts may be hidden.
